Meet Stormfront, the superhero recruited to replace Translucent in The Seven. She will make her debut in The Boys when season two airs this September.

Last week, Amazon Prime revealed that its very popular original series The Boys will return for a second season starting September 4, 2020. Anyone who is yet to watch season one but hasn't done so yet might want to look away now as this article will unsurprisingly feature some pretty major spoilers.

The Boys' season two reveal included a first look at Stormfront, the newest member of The Seven. The Boys, who have tasked themselves with stopping The Seven, managed to kill Translucent in season one. Stormfront reveals herself to be his replacement to fellow Seven members Homelander and Queen Maeve. The new hero captures the moment on a live stream which means the established Seven members are unable to react as they would have liked.

Judging by Stormfront's introduction to Homelander and Maeve, the former was not asked for his stamp of approval before the Portland-based hero was added to his elite group. The teaser also suggests that Stormfront will cause a lot of problems for The Seven via her penchant for social media. Homelander definitely won't want his behind-the-scenes antics broadcast for the world to see during Stormfront's streams.

As for what else fans of The Boys can expect from Stormfront, the character in the comic books might be even darker than Homelander. Stormfront is able to fly and control the weather, similar to X-Men's Storm. However, in the comic books, Stormfront is a man. A creation of Nazi Germany who relishes in spreading his racist ideologies. Most worrying of all for The Seven, comic book Stormfront is just as powerful as Homelander.

Season one of The Boys ended on an incredible cliffhanger. Homelander rescues The Boys' leader Billy Butcher and reveals to him that his wife is still alive, although doesn't seem to know who he is. The sociopathic leader of The Seven also killed his boss/lover moments before that, and possibly her infant child as well. Suffice to say, with the addition of Stormfront to the fray, there will be a lot of story to tell in season two.
