Meg Whitman Buys Condo On Sierra Towers For $5.5 Million

Two years later, the billionaire businesswoman and current U.S. Ambassador to Kenya tried to offload her stylish unit for the exact price she paid for it, but the condo didn’t sell. Now the place has popped up for sale again, this time with a significantly reduced ask of nearly $5.5 million.

Purchased by Whitman and her neurosurgeon husband Griffith Harsh IV in August 2020, the southwest-facing unit lies on 24th floor of L.A.’s celeb-studded Sierra Towers skyscraper. Since the Jack A. Charney-designed structure first opened its doors in the mid-1960s, the exclusive building has housed celebs the likes of Cher, Diahann Carroll, Sandra Bullock, Matthew Perry, Adam Sandler and Courteney Cox, just to name a few.
As for Whitman’s home, the place was recently renovated, per the listing, and features two bedrooms and a matching number of baths in almost 2,300 square feet of all-white living space adorned throughout with hardwood floors. Floor-to-ceiling windows also provide picturesque views of Downtown L.A. and the Pacific Ocean beyond, per Dirt.

Well-known for her lengthy career as president and CEO of eBay from 1998-2008, the New York native, 66, went on to head up Hewlett Packard (before it was restructured into Hewlett Packard Enterprise) and the short-lived Quibi media startup. A Republican, she also co-chaired Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008 and ran for governor of California the following year, only to be defeated by Jerry Brown after spending a record-breaking $81 million on her primary campaign and securing the Republican gubernatorial nomination.
