Spends: Pricey Rehabs And Surgeries Over The Years

Matthew Perry openly admitted that he had been battling with addiction for years now. The actor opened up about checking in to 15 rehabs over the years and even had 10 surgeries for his overall health.

The actor believes that the pricey rehab sessions and several surgeries saved his life. He reportedly spent a total of $9 million in trying to get better and checking in to the most expensive rehabs just so he can finally get his life together. Thankfully he was able to get better after costing him millions along the way.

Matthew Perry is widely known as a cast member of the comedy series Friends. During its 10 year run, the actor has earned millions for starring in it. As the season progresses, the salaries of the actors increases. He was reportedly earning $75,000 per episode in season 3, and went up to $85,000 in season 4.

At the start of season 5, the actor is making about $100,000 per episode and then $125,000 in season 6. It was reported that the main cast were paid $1 million per episode for seasons 9 and 10.

Spends: A Modest Car Collection

Compared to the other Friends cast members, Matthew Perry owns a pretty decent car collection. Despite having massive amount of millions in his bank, he chose to own simple cars and not as lavish as Jennifer Aniston's car collection.

The most expensive car in his collection is the BMW Z8 which costs around $250,000. Other than that, he also owns a Porsche Panamera, Audi R8, Lincoln Navigator, Aston Martin Vantage V8 Roadster and BMW 6 series. The least expensive car in his collection is the BMW 6 series which costs around $70,000.

Earns: Real Estate Investments

Matthew Perry is pretty good at investing his money. He has made millions from flipping houses in the affluent areas across the country. In 2015, he sold his Malibu estate for the price of $10.65 million and then bought another property in the same area for $11 million. He listed the property for $15 million in August 2020 however he wasn't able to sell it at that price. A few months after, he finally sold the said property for $13.1 million in January 2021.

Another property that he was able to flip is his $20 million penthouse apartment in the Century City, California. He initially listed it for $35 million after two years of owning but he later settled to sell it for $21.6 million.

Spends: Doing Good Deeds

Over the years, the actor has been known for doing good deeds. The actor is big on giving back as he even helped design a pair of shoes for the Stuart Weitzman charity shoe auction and signed them. The proceeds would benefit the ovarian cancer awareness and research.

To help fellow recovering addicts, the actor has decided to donate his house. Perry donated his Malibu mansion and retrofitted it to donate to rehab facilities to use it as a sober living home where the recovering addicts can go to in between rehab session.

As if earnings millions of salary from Friends isn't enough, Matthew Perry also earns millions from royalties each year. The Friends cast made headlines at the time after the main actors from the show negotiated to earn ownership stakes on the show. At the time, it was a rare occurrence since the only stars to ever close a royalty deal were Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld.

It was reported that the comedy series makes about $1 billion in syndication sales and streaming deals each year. The actor approximately makes about $10 to $20 million annually from his royalty deal.

Spends: A Clothing Line Inspired By Friends

The Friends actor launched a limited edition apparel line inspired by the comedy sitcom he starred in. It was a non-profit drive that aims to help the World Health Organisation. The proceeds from the sales were donated straight to the WHO's Covid-19 relief fund. The online shop that the actor launched was called Could this BE any more of a Matthew Perry merch store in reference to his onscreen persona in the beloved 1990s sitcom.

They sold t-shirts, mugs, baseball caps and hoodies. The actor promoted the clothing line on his Instagram with a caption "What is this, a limited edition t-shirt for charity? For two weeks only, I'm releasing an apparel collection! Proceeds will support the World Health Organization's Covid-19 relief efforts."

Earns: Appearance In The Friends Reunion

For the fans of the 90s sitcom, the Friends Reunion is probably one of the most awaited event of the decade. After almost two decades since the show wrapped up, the cast came back for an episode of a lifetime. The iconic reunion also starred a bunch of famous personalities including David Beckham, BTS, Lady Gaga, Reese Witherspoon, Justin Bieber, Kit Harrington, Mindy Kaling and a lot more.

Since this is a grand event for every fan, the main should be complete. For everyone to agree to appear on the show, they were paid a massive amount of $2.5 million each.
